ERZ: Scheme Notice of Scheme Sanctioning 15 Jan 07

European Reinsurance Company of Zurich (the Scheme Company) proposes to enter into a Solvent Scheme of Arrangement with its Scheme Creditors, pursuant to Section 425 of the Companies Act 1985 of Great Britain, to finalise its insurance and reinsurance liabilities in relation to its business in respect of its participation within Reinsurance Group Managers Limited (RGM Pool).

At the Scheme Meetings held on 20 December 2006, the proposed Solvent Scheme of Arrangement was voted on and approved by each class of Scheme Creditor and was subsequently sanctioned by an Order of the High Court of Justice of England and Wales on 15 January 2007.  The Solvent Scheme became effective on 23 January 2007, being the date on which an office copy of the Order sanctioning the Solvent Scheme was delivered to the Registrar of Companies in England and Wales.

Scheme Creditors must submit a Claim Form to the Scheme Manager in respect of their Scheme Liabilities by 5:00 London Time on 23 July 2007.  A copy of the Claim Form is available to review and download from the Important Documents section of the Scheme Website (www.rgmpool.com).
